Nani’s Achar Paneer Curry

Ingredients

  • 250g paneer
  • 2 tbsp Nani's Achar Mango Pickle
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp ginger 
  • 1 tsp crushed  garlic
  • 2 chopped medium sized tomatoes
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 chopped medium onion 
  • 1 chop olive oil or avocado oil or ghee
  • Salt to taste

Method

  • Wash and cube the paneer into small bite sized chunks 
  • Mix  Nani's Achar Mango Pickle  with yogurt in a bowl.  Add paneer pieces to the mixture and set aside to marinate
  • Blend ginger, garlic and onion into a pureed mixture and set aside.
  • Cube the onion and green pepper into bite size pieces.
  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok or pot. Add the ginger, garlic and onion mixture and saute until the colour changes.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes and continue sauteing.
  • Add water to prevent the mixture to sticking or burning
  • Add and sautee the green peppers and onions
  • Add the marinated paneer and cook on low/medium heat
  • Add a pinch of salt, as needed
  • Simmer on low/medium heat until some oil rises on top

 

Serve hot with roti, naan or rice.
